Christian Education
Sunday School is not just for children! Some of the sincerest questions can be answered by spending a little time in a group setting among Christian brothers and sisters, and even new converts, when we come to Sunday School. It’s amazing how many of our members and friends actually see how much we have in common when we discuss our weekly lessons. We all have a great time sharing our thoughts each Sunday.

We want to show the love of Christ to our members and guests by providing a genuine, warm, and friendly atmosphere where all people feel comfortable and accepted. “You’re always welcome whenever the doors of the church are open!”
Deacon
These Servants were selected to support Rev. Dr. Rice, other ministries, church staff, and the community. Our deacons were selected upon the teachings of Acts 6:3, “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.”
Missionary Society (Evangelism)
The Missionary Society works to reach the community and those abroad by connecting people to God through building trusting redemptive relationships with those who have not recognized Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
Music
Here at Brown Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, we enjoy great music. “Making a joyful noise” has a deeper meaning for us. We understand that music is one of the first things people notice when they attend a church service. We’re blessed to have sounds from four different choirs: Youth Choir (Rev. Robert Rice, Jr. Gospel Choir), Senior Choir, Brown Avenue Baptist Ensemble (BABE), and Mass Choir.
Pastor's Aide
The Pastor’s Aide Ministry is designed to provide supplementary support to the Pastor. The goal is to show appreciation for his leadership and guidance in the church. This committee serves as a spiritual, financial, and emotional support system for the Pastor.
Usher
Our Ushers are the doorkeepers to our spiritual home. They are to maintain reverence, order, and a prayerful atmosphere. Come and see the beautiful smile they have just for you!
Youth
Our Youth Ministry consists of a Youth Choir (Rev. Robert Rice, Jr. Gospel Choir), a Dance Ministry, Junior Ushers, and readers for the Pastoral Scriptures. Youth are respected for their individual differences and their contributions to the body of Christ regardless of age.
